Halc under demolition

The Hawthorn Aquatic and Leisure Centre is currently under demolition.  The site not longer resembles what it once was, but we are excited about what is yet to come...

Swinburne University Student Access

The Swinburne University Student swim access was unique to the Hawthorn Aquatic and Leisure Centre.  During the closure period Swinburne University Students will be able to access the other City of Boroondara sites and will recieve concession price access on production of their full time student card.

The further subsidised access will be reviewed when the new centre opens.

Update to members cancellation and rejoin fee

Update to members cancellation and rejoin fee

Due to the length of closure, we are unable to administer membership suspensions for the full HALC closure/redevelopment period.

We would encourage you to continue to participate in recreational activities at the other City of Boroondara facilities during the HALC redevelopment. However, If you choose to cancel your membership as a result of the closure, you will have the opportunity to rejoin the new HALC during a six week opening campaign without paying a rejoin fee.  This is provided as an incentive to come back to excellent facilities the new HALC will provide.

A staff member from the new HALC will contact you in advanced of the opening to inform you of this renewal period. Members who remain during the redevelopment period will be rewarded with benefits as a result (see members plan)
